It feels like we have very quickly moved from Summer to Winter with the dark evenings! There are some gorgeous Autumn colours around though. It’s always worth while taking a moment to breathe and look at the changing scenery.

As always, it has been a busy month. Our prep courses are going well and our coordinators have been really impressed by our new volunteers’ enthusiasm and the amazing discussions that have been had. We are always in need of new volunteers for both family support and group support and our prep courses start regularly so please spread the word.

Our lovely volunteers in Ribble valley met for a catch up and a coffee. We want our volunteers to feel part of a team and supported by each other. It’s important to feel part of something so social catch ups are very valuable. We also have volunteer get togethers planned nearer to Christmas which we are looking forward to.

Our groups continue to be busy which is great. It’s lovely to see friendships developing and children socialising and increasing in confidence.

We celebrated World food day and tried some new foods from around the world. Did you know pineapple dipped in Hummus is tasty?!

Of course, October always brings Halloween! We have had spooky activities, dressed up in fancy dress, decorated biscuits and ate lots of party food! Well done Everybody!
