As always we are looking to recruit new volunteers to support our families across East Lancashire.
We are running three prep courses across East Lancashire starting in June, courses run for six weeks and all sessions need to be attended.
ABD Centre Bacup - Starting Wednesday 6th June for 6 weeks 9:30AM - 1:00PM
Padiham Green Primary school - Starting Monday 13th June for 6 weeks 9:30AM - 1:00PM
Nelson Office - Starting Monday 13th June for 6 weeks 6PM - 9PM

Volunteering is life-changing – for our volunteers, and the families they support. Our volunteers are the heart of Home-Start, and we believe the difference you can make to parents and children is unique.
You’ll be in a position to provide support to families when it’s most important – in the early years. By supporting parents when their children are small, you can help relieve some of the pressures, helping them give their children to give their children the best start in life.
Home-Start volunteers come from all walks of life and experiences. All that’s asked of them in return is that they have a caring and non-judgemental attitude and can commit two-three hours per week. We offer support in our local NICU, at groups and in family homes so there are lots of ways you can help families!
All volunteers…
- Receive ongoing support and supervision from a designated Home-Start co-coordinator and have access to further training opportunities.
- Can access additional training and social events throughout the year.
- Receive all out of pocket expenses incurred whilst volunteering for Home-Start.
